Junebug Wedding's list of world's best photographers

I am extremely honored and humbled to be accepted as Junebug Wedding's list of world's best photographers! All of the honor and glory goes to God and I thank Him so so much for the talent He has given me, and the ability to work with such amazing couples every year. It's pretty surreal to think how much the Lord Jesus has blessed me and I'm just really so thankful...

Jamie & Brian {Married}

"I'm dressed...we're getting married!" exclaimed the beautiful and determined bride.
Their wedding date occurred the day before Category 3 Hurricane Irene was set to hit the east coast. Mandatory evacuations forced their venue to cancel only hours before their big moment. Regardless, Jamie and Brian had one of the MOST loving and heart-felt weddings I have ever photographed. Love and determination set in as their amazing families came together to plan an impromptu ceremony and reception at a friend's beautiful house overlooking a golf course. Their love and endurance conquered all, and God truly provided for them. Jamie and Brian may God bless you throughout your marriage and may you always be surrounded by love.

Jamie and Brian were Interviewed by NBC about their wedding during the hurricane!

Meet their puppy Chase!

"And now these three remain: Faith, Hope and Love. But the greatest of these is Love."- 1 Corinthians 13:13

Happy Easter!!

"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?"- Matthew 6:28-30

Workshop Announcement!!!

Almost weekly, I get requests from photographers looking for information on how to improve or start their wedding photography business, questions on workflow, editing, shooting, etc... After weeks of planning, I am happy to announce my first workshop!

This will be such an amazing opportunity to learn, improve, and begin your dreams. I will be going over so much at the workshop that I will have to speak fast for it to all fit into one day. We will be going over shooting, marketing, branding, posing, editing, workflow, finding your style, standing out in your market, how to keep your creativity going, how to shoot the weddings you want to shoot, tips for your first wedding, how to run your business, how to talk to clients, submitting to publications and a Q&A session where you can ask any question!

The workshop will be April 16th in Central NJ. Seats are VERY limited as I want to provide one on one attention. Please e-mail kayenglishphoto@gmail.com for more information!

Free Wedding Give-Away!!!!

The rules are simple!!! Find someway for me to meet Bruce Springsteen and I will give you a full wedding package! (Valued at $8,000). You will get a full day coverage, Album, parent album, DVD, Engagement shoot, Canvas, Prints, and Engagement guestbook and the whole shebang!

Please read the story below:
John and I are the biggest Bruce Springsteen fans! Our wedding song was If I should fall behind by Bruce.

We just really love his music and what he stands for. We've been to several of his concerts, and let me tell you- He puts sooo much of his soul into every song. I've never seen anyone put their all into a song before!

So my sister-in-law Kristen has met Bruce 3 times! She is constantly running into him at Jersey Freeze and in Red Bank.
I heard he was at Jersey Freeze from a friend a few months ago and drove over there since I live 5 minutes away, and wound up getting pulled over and just missed him!

When I worked at the Make-A-Wish Foundation, one of our staff got to go on the wish and he didn't even like Bruce's music!

Then two weeks ago, videographer Rob Adams ran into him at the Barnes and Noble that I am always at! Every single day I'm there for a client meeting, and the one day I'm not there, he shows up!

Then YESTERDAY! One of my fellow wedding photographer friends, photographs him on the beach with one of her couples at the same beach I'm always shooting at!

I just really want my chance to meet him and tell him how amazing his music is! So that's it! :)
I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!

God bless,
Kay

"For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength."

Only some of you know this, but my husband John and I actually missed our honeymoon to Japan because I was afraid to fly. It was a really upsetting story because we lost all of the money for the honeymoon too, due to some weird fine print on expedia.

I never thought I would fly again because I used to get panic attacks even thinking about flying. When I heard about the mission's trip to El Salvador through my church, I really felt called to go. But there was one huge obstacle in my way, getting over my fear of flying. So I really prayed about it day after day for God to give me the strength to go through with it and the peace to not be nervous about it.

I just want to thank God for letting me get over my fear to serve Him in El Salvador and to step on 4 planes in order to go. I want to encourage anyone who is feeling afraid of something, or thinking they could never do something- really pray about it. "Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."-Philippians 4:7

Praise God!

Prayer Request- Missions trip to El Salvador

God is so good! As some of your know, 21 members of my church will be heading to El Salvador in 2 weeks including my husband and I. We will be leaving July 25th and returning August 8th. I would like to start this note by telling you all a little bit about the trip and why we're all going, then I would love to ask for your prayers in certain things and finally end with why I'm going on the trip.

The 21 members going on this trip will be flying down and working in El Salvador. We will be bringing supplies to the people, setting up crafts for the kids, and building a church.

I would love to ask for all of your prayers for the following:
-That all of us going down there will be doing God's will
-That we will all return home safely with Joy in our hearts
-That God will use us to be instruments of his peace
-That we all remain healthy while there
-That God will calm our fears and anxieties about going so we can better prepare and better serve.
-That our hearts will be filled with joy before, during and after the trip
-That we will all come back with a better knowledge of who God is.
-That we won't have any side effects to the medications.

And for a personal prayer, I've been struggling with anxiety a lot lately and would love to ask for prayers about that. Please pray that I would come to know "the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus"-Philippians 4:7

Finally, the reason I'm going-
I can't put an exact reason as to why I'm going except that it's what I feel like God called us to do. As some of you know, John and I missed our honeymoon because I was too afraid to fly. So flying to El Salvador was never my top choice of ways to serve. But it's really not about me, it's about God and the people we're serving in El Salvador. And I keep needing to remind myself of that through all of my fears. My goals in this trip are to glorify God, to be a good and faithful servant, and to learn to have more faith.

I pray all of this in Jesus' name, Amen...
